People ask me why do I go to Kenya with every container. It can’t be cheap and it can’t be easy, they say. And they would be right. It is neither cheap nor easy. But I go for three main reasons:
- I love going. It reminds me why I do what I do in the UK. It gives me reason for keeping Just be a Child going.
- I have to go, because it helps speed up the customs’ process. The mere presence of the owner of the container is a good sign to the authorities.
- I like to go, because I can spend some time creating new partnerships, putting faces to the email addresses and trying to extend our reach.
