Young People’s Training

Under the leadership of our community partners we develop and deliver training to young people in all of our libraries. The training covers a wide range of issues affecting the young people we work with.

“I now know it’s not enough to start making shoes. There are so many things I need to do first, but most importantly, I need to know if what I am doing is profitable.” Samir, age 24.

Volunteers’ Training

It is very important to us to acknowledge the hard and important work our volunteers do. One way to show our appreciation is to organise and facilitate training sessions teaching our volunteers transferrable skills, computer skills, interview skills and much more.

“The way we are taught things is so much different from anything we did at school. I love the way I can learn.” Salim, age 45.

Mentor Programme

Our experienced librarians and volunteers teach newly recruited community helpers. Learn more about the programme.

“Helping others learn is so rewarding.” Omar, age 20
